Ranchi, September 10: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) has taken a major step towards the digital transformation of welfare services for its employees, retired personnel and their dependents. CCL CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh on Thursday inaugurated the CPRMSE/NE 2.0 Portal and Online Dependent Employment Portal at the Manthan Auditorium of CCL headquarters in Ranchi.

The inauguration was attended by Director (Human Resources) Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Planning and Projects) Anup Hanjura, Chief Vigilance Officer Pankaj Kumar, along with general managers and heads of various departments.

The CPRMSE/NE 2.0 Portal will transform the existing paper-based process for medical claims and reimbursements of retired employees into a digital workflow. Retired coal workers will be able to submit medical claims and documents online from their homes, track the status of their claims and respond digitally to observations or objections.

The portal will also enable electronic movement of claims among the PRB, CMS/Medical and Finance departments, along with work allocation, digital records, audit trails and SMS/mobile alerts. The initiative is expected to increase transparency and accountability while reducing the need for retired employees to visit offices repeatedly.

The Online Dependent Employment Portal has been introduced to make the process of employment or financial compensation under NCWA for dependents of employees who died during service simpler and more transparent.

Through the portal, dependents will be able to initiate applications online and track their cases at different stages. SMS and email alerts will provide updates regarding deficiencies, pending tasks and important stages of the process. A centralised monitoring system and dashboard will also help officials track cases more effectively.

CCL System Department develops both portals in-house

A major feature of both initiatives is that the portals have been developed by CCL's System Department through its in-house technical team. The development highlights the company's technological capabilities, innovation and effective utilisation of its internal human resources.

Speaking on the occasion, CCL CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh said the in-house development of both portals was a significant achievement for the company. He said providing simple, transparent and timely services to employees, retired personnel and their families through effective use of digital technology remains a priority for CCL.

He congratulated the concerned departments and the System Department team and said such digital solutions would play an important role in making service delivery more convenient and efficient.

The launch of the CPRMSE/NE 2.0 and Online Dependent Employment Portal marks an important move towards centrally monitored digital service delivery at CCL. The initiatives are expected to make welfare processes more paperless, transparent and accessible while improving efficiency and accountability.

The two portals also reflect CCL's commitment to providing better and easier access to welfare services for retired employees and the families of employees who died while in service.
