Jharkhand's Panchayats to Receive ₹14,231 Crore: Deepika Pandey Singh
New Delhi/Ranchi: Deepika Pandey Singh, Jharkhand's Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, participated in the 16th Finance Commission's national workshop. She urged the Central Government to release grant funds for Panchayats on time and to show flexibility regarding performance grants.
Between the years 2026-27 and 2030-31, Jharkhand's Panchayats will receive a total of ₹14,231 crore, comprising ₹11,385 crore in basic grants and ₹2,846 crore in performance grants.
The Minister stated that these funds would play a crucial role in strengthening Panchayats and accelerating rural development. Several officials, including Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh (alias Lalan Singh), were present at the event.
