1,042 Assistant Teachers Appointed in Jharkhand; Chief Minister Says—The Reins of the State's Future Are Now in Your Hands

Ranchi: Taking another major step towards strengthening the education system, the Jharkhand government handed over appointment letters to 1,042 newly selected Intermediate and Graduate-trained Assistant Teachers at a ceremony held on Monday at the Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon. On this occasion, Chief Minister Hemant Soren also virtually launched the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training program for teachers of classes 6 to 12 under the National Education Policy-2020.

Addressing the newly appointed teachers, the Chief Minister stated that they have been entrusted not merely with a government job, but with the responsibility of shaping the future of Jharkhand's next generation. He emphasized that teachers would play a pivotal role in the state's intellectual development and in enhancing the quality of education.

The Chief Minister urged the teachers to ensure quality education in government schools, adopt a sensitive approach towards children, and serve with utmost dedication, even in remote areas. He made it clear that the government would not tolerate any form of mistreatment of children in schools and that strict action would be taken in such cases.

In his address, the Chief Minister highlighted the significant initiatives undertaken by the state government in the education sector. He noted that public trust in government schools has grown due to the 'Mukhyamantri Utkrisht Vidyalaya' (Chief Minister's Schools of Excellence) scheme, with applications for admission now far exceeding the available seats. He mentioned that the recruitment process included the hiring of over 200 science teachers, which would provide a significant boost to science education in government schools.

The Chief Minister remarked that Jharkhand is a state rich in talent and potential, and the government is continuously making appointments while prioritizing education, employment, and the future of the youth. He pointed out that over 55,000 appointments were made during the previous term, and large-scale recruitment across various departments is continuing in the current term as well.

During the ceremony, newly appointed Assistant Teachers Sita Kumari, Manoj Kumar Vaidya, and Pradeep Kumar Yadav shared their experiences, expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister, and pledged to impart quality education to children with complete honesty and dedication. A large number of people attended the event, including Radhakrishna Kishore, Mahua Maji, Avinash Kumar, Departmental Secretary Uma Shankar Singh, and several other senior officials, along with the newly appointed Assistant Professors and their family members.
