📰 TSPC Sub-Zonal Commander Viram Ram Arrested; Several Militant Incidents Solved
Ranchi: The Ranchi Police have achieved a major breakthrough. Viram Ram—alias Vikram Ji or Arvind Ji—the Sub-Zonal Commander of the banned militant organization TSPC, has been arrested. He had been involved in militant activities for several years and had posed a significant challenge to the police.
Acting on a tip-off received by the Senior Superintendent of Police, a raid was conducted at Dhobi Tola in Chandwa (Latehar), leading to his arrest. During the arrest, the accused attempted to flee, but the police team cordoned off the area and apprehended him.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to his involvement in several incidents, including a firing incident at a brick kiln within the Budhmu police station area. Based on information provided by him, weapons and other items were recovered from a semi-constructed house in Chhapar village.

According to the police, the accused had been associated with the TSPC organization for the past 15 years and was active across several police station areas in Ranchi and its vicinity. He extorted protection money from land dealers, contractors, brick kiln owners, and coal traders. In cases where payments were refused, he would carry out acts of violence, such as firing and arson.
The police stated that more than two dozen cases have been registered against the accused across various police station areas. Several members of his gang have already been arrested, while operations to apprehend the remaining members are ongoing.
A special raiding team, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (Khalari) Ram Narayan Chaudhary, played a pivotal role in this operation. The police are now focused on identifying the accused's network and accomplices to initiate further legal action.
