📰 Tight Security in Ranchi for JPSC Preliminary Exam; Section 163 Imposed Within 200-Meter Radius

The District Administration has implemented stringent security measures in view of the Jharkhand Combined Civil Services (Backlog) Preliminary Competitive Examination-2023, organized by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC). This examination is scheduled to be held on May 10, 2026, across 15 centers in Ranchi.
To ensure a malpractice-free examination and to maintain law and order, prohibitory orders under Section 163 have been imposed within a 200-meter radius of all examination centers; these orders will remain in force from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
The administration has deployed Magistrates and police personnel for the occasion. Under the issued orders, there will be a complete ban on the assembly of five or more people, the use of loudspeakers, carrying any kind of weapon, and the organization of any meetings or public gatherings.
The District Administration has appealed to the general public for their cooperation to ensure that the examination is conducted in a peaceful and fair manner.
