“Recover the Child Within 36 Hours, or the BJP Will Take to the Streets” — Aditya Sahu
Ranchi: Aditya Sahu, the Jharkhand State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), met with the family members of an 18-month-old infant girl who went missing from Khorha Toli in the Kokar area of Ranchi, and issued a 36-hour ultimatum to the police administration. He stated that if the child is not safely recovered within the stipulated timeframe, BJP workers will take to the streets to launch a protest movement.
Describing the matter as extremely serious, Aditya Sahu remarked that the morale of criminals in the state has surged, while the fear of the police has completely dissipated. He alleged that, in Jharkhand, it is currently a “rule of criminals, not of the police.” He further noted that fear is being spread openly through the circulation of the missing child's photograph, yet the police have so far come up empty-handed.
The BJP State President asserted that the life of an innocent child hangs in the balance, yet the lethargy of the state government and the administration is glaringly evident. He demanded that the culprits be arrested swiftly and that the child be safely reunited with her family.
He recalled that similar incidents of children going missing had previously surfaced in Jagannathpur and Ormanjhi, where the children were eventually recovered safely following public pressure and warnings issued by the party. He affirmed that the BJP is treating this case with the utmost seriousness and stands firmly in solidarity with the victim's family.
Citing recent reports regarding the disappearance of 106 young women from the Kolhan region over a span of 13 months, Aditya Sahu also raised serious questions regarding the state's law and order situation. He contended that the police have strayed from their core duties, a lapse that has emboldened criminals.
Present on the occasion were several BJP leaders, including State General Secretary Manoj Singh, MLA C.P. Singh, Ranchi Mayor Roshni Khalakho, Deputy Mayor Neeraj Kumar, and City President Varun Sahu.
