Jharkhand Tourism Set to Gain New Recognition Through Social Media
Ranchi: The Jharkhand Tourism Department organized the ‘State-Level Influencer Meet 2026’ at the Paryatan Vihar Hotel in Patratu. The primary objective of the event was to garner national and international recognition for Jharkhand’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, tourist destinations, and local cuisine through various social media platforms.
Speaking at the event, Tourism Minister Sudivya Kumar stated that the state's own content creators are best positioned to showcase Jharkhand's culture and folk life in the most authentic manner. He emphasized that the government aims for the state's young influencers to craft a new digital identity for Jharkhand by creating positive and engaging content centered around its tourist destinations.
During the event, an ‘Influencer Engagement Portal’ was also launched, enabling social media influencers and content creators to formally collaborate with the Tourism Department.
