Ranchi: In view of the intensifying heat and heatwave conditions prevailing across Jharkhand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has issued directives to all Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police, Station House Officers, Circle Officers, Block Development Officers, and Panchayat representatives to provide immediate relief to the general public. The Chief Minister has stated that adequate arrangements for drinking water must be ensured at all government offices and public places, and clear signage regarding these facilities should be displayed so that passersby and the general public can find relief from the heat.
The Chief Minister has instructed officials to ensure that a drinking water crisis situation does not arise in any village, hamlet, or locality. Wherever a water shortage exists, immediate water supply through tankers must be ensured. Additionally, the repair of malfunctioning hand pumps and the implementation of other alternative arrangements should be undertaken without delay.
Through a post on 'X', Chief Minister Hemant Soren affirmed that "Public interest is paramount" and urged the administration to function with complete sensitivity, promptness, and a humanitarian approach during this period of extreme heat.
