Crowds Flock to Polling Stations to View List of Unmapped Voters

List to Remain Published at All Booths for Two Weeks Starting May 23; BLOs Conducting Mapping Work

Ranchi: Since Saturday morning, a large number of voters across the state have been visiting polling stations to check for their names in the list of unmapped voters. Voters whose names appear on this list are sharing their details and getting themselves mapped in the electoral roll through their respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs).

According to a press release issued by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, the list of unmapped voters will remain published at all polling stations for a period of two weeks, commencing May 23. Voters may visit their respective polling stations at their convenience to review the list.

The Election Department has clarified that voters whose names are already mapped will not be required to submit any additional documents during the Special Summary Revision (SSR) process. Conversely, voters whose names appear in the unmapped list can contact their BLOs to ensure their mapping is completed, based on the electoral rolls from the previous intensive revision.

The Election Department has appealed to voters to visit their polling stations in a timely manner to check the list and complete the necessary procedures, thereby avoiding any inconvenience in the future.
