📰 Administration Cracks Down on School Vehicles: Inspection Drive in Ranchi; Fines Imposed on 32

Prioritizing the safety of school children, the Ranchi District Administration conducted a comprehensive inspection drive targeting school vans and buses. This campaign was carried out under the leadership of District Transport Officer Akhilesh Kumar and Traffic DSP Pramod Kumar Keshari, acting on the directives of the District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner.
During this drive, which was conducted across the Doranda, Shyamali, and Jagannathpur areas, a total of 93 school vehicles were inspected. The inspection involved a meticulous scrutiny of essential documents, including road tax receipts, fitness certificates, insurance policies, permits, and pollution control certificates. Additionally, strict vigilance was maintained to ensure that vehicles were not carrying children in excess of their prescribed seating capacity.
During the inspection, fines totaling ₹2,04,550 were imposed on 32 vehicles found to be in violation of regulations, while notices were issued to 78 vehicles due to various deficiencies.
The administration has made it clear that there will be absolutely no compromise regarding the safety of children. Parents have been urged to select only those vehicles for their children's commute that are safe and fully compliant with traffic regulations.
