Appointments for 299 Posts in Jharkhand: Chief Minister Hemant Soren Distributes Appointment Letters
Ranchi | April 21, 2026: During a ceremony held on Tuesday at the Jharkhand Secretariat, Chief Minister Hemant Soren handed over appointment letters to a total of 299 candidates—including 62 Child Development Project Officers and 237 Lady Supervisors—under the Department of Women, Child Development, and Social Security.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister remarked that appointments on such a large scale, taking place after a long hiatus, are a matter of pride for the state. He expressed confidence that all newly appointed personnel would discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and sensitivity, playing a pivotal role in the effective implementation of various schemes.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government's priority is to transform Jharkhand into a healthy, empowered, and developed state—a goal in which the participation of women is of paramount importance. Describing malnutrition as a grave challenge, he underscored the need for collective efforts to eradicate it from its very roots.
He further stated that ensuring the reach of government schemes to remote and inaccessible regions is essential. To this end, the government is empowering its employees through the provision of technological tools and resources.
The event was attended by Minister Radhakrishna Kishore, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, Departmental Secretary Uma Shankar Singh, along with several other senior officials and the newly appointed candidates.
