Chief Electoral Officer's Review Meeting on Voter List Revision
Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar held a review meeting with District Electoral Officers, EROs, AEROs, and Deputy Electoral Officers from all districts of the state at the Election House on Wednesday. The meeting reviewed preparations for the upcoming thorough revision of the voter list and rationalization of polling stations.
The Chief Electoral Officer directed that during the rationalization of polling stations, voters living in the same house should be ensured to vote at the same station. He said that during the thorough revision, BLOs will affix stickers to voters' homes, bearing the BLO's name, mobile number, and house number. Houses without house numbers were instructed to be marked with a notional number.
He instructed officials to ensure that no eligible citizen's name should be left out of the voter list during the revision process and also emphasized the need for training BLOs and promptly filling vacant election-related positions.
