Jharkhand empowered by greenery for half its population: Deepika Pandey Singh
Rural Development Minister Deepika Pandey Singh participated in a tree-planting-based sustainable livelihood program in Madhavpur (Boram, East Singhbhum). She stated that Jharkhand women have created history by planting over 25 million trees, boosting both greenery and rural income. Fruit-bearing and useful plants, including mango, bamboo, and amla, are strengthening livelihoods, and carbon credits will generate additional income. Women are expanding mango production and expanding exports. The government is providing ₹2,500 per month under the Maiyaan Samman Yojana. Self-help groups were urged to increase employment by engaging in uniform and bag manufacturing through a cooperative model, and to stay away from rumors.
