Chief Electoral Officer Issues Strict Instructions Regarding Voter List Revision
Ranchi, February 12, 2026: Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar met with Deputy Electoral Officers from all districts at the Election House to review the ongoing thorough revision of the voter list. He directed that voter verification documents received from other states be promptly scrutinized and timely reports be sent to the respective states.
He called for thorough verification of ancestral mapping, absentee, transferred, deleted, and duplicate voters. He also emphasized the need to upload clear and color photographs to voter ID cards and promptly resolve voter issues through ECINET's "Book a Call with BLO" feature. Joint and Deputy Electoral Officers were also present at the meeting.
