Allegations of rigging in civic elections, demand for fair counting: Aditya Sahu

Ranchi: BJP State President and MP Aditya Sahu, in a press conference after the civic elections, accused the state government of subverting democracy. He stated that approximately 50 percent voter turnout was recorded in 48 municipal bodies. While expressing gratitude to the voters, polling personnel, and the Election Commission, Sahu made serious allegations of administrative interference, bogus voting, voter intimidation, and the lack of postal ballot arrangements. He stated that in many places, polling agents were removed and fake voting was conducted. Sahu demanded the State Election Commission ensure a fair vote count and warned that the BJP would not remain silent if attempts were made to influence the vote count. He claimed that BJP-supported candidates were certain to win in most seats.
