Lohardaga: As per the directions of (JHALSA), Ranchi, and under the guidance of Principal District and Sessions Judge , the last Monthly Jail Adalat-cum-Medical Check-up Camp of the year was organized on December 21, 2025, at Mandal Kara, Lohardaga.
On this occasion, DALSA Secretary , LADCS Chief , Bhupendra Kumar, Jailer Subodh Kumar and Dr. Rajesh Kumar from Sadar Hospital along with his medical team were present. Health check-ups of the inmates were conducted during the camp.
While providing legal awareness, the DALSA Secretary stated that good health and nutritious food are the rights of everyone, and prison inmates are no exception. He cautioned the jail administration that inmates must be provided food strictly as per the Jail Manual 2025. He further informed that the Jharkhand High Court has directed all DALSA Secretaries in the state to conduct monthly inspections of the quality of food served in jails and submit reports accordingly. In compliance with these directions, the jail administration was instructed to ensure proper and quality food for inmates.
The inmates were also advised to stay away from social evils such as superstition and witchcraft beliefs. The inmates were addressed by LADCS Chief Naseem Ansari and Dr. Rajesh Kumar as well, who emphasized health awareness and legal rights.
The camp aimed at ensuring legal aid, healthcare facilities and the protection of basic rights of prisoners lodged in the Lohardaga Mandal Jail.
