Under the guidance of the Principal District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority (DALSA), Lohardaga, a blood donation camp was organized on 20 December 2025 at the Civil Court premises in collaboration with Sadar Hospital, Lohardaga. During the camp, a total of 28 units of blood were collected. Donors included judges of the Lohardaga judiciary, judicial staff, police personnel, PLVs, and other participants.
The blood donation process was supervised by Dr. Vinita Horo. Umesh Kumar, Hafeezul Ansari, Saddam Ansari, Anjita Lakra, Sarita Kumari, Seema Panna, and Rishabh Prashant played an appreciable role in blood collection and overall coordination.
Along with the blood donation camp, a free health check-up camp was organized with the support of . Orthopaedic specialist Dr. Ujjwal Sinha and physician Dr. Aniket Sinha examined around 200 people. Medanta health workers including Vikas Kumar Pathak, Premlata, Putul, Ramesh Kumar, and Vishal Kumar actively participated in the health screening process.
Prior to the camps, a Health Talk Show was organized in the assembly hall located within the Civil Court premises. All programmes were inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Principal District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairperson, DALSA Lohardaga Rajkamal Mishra, Civil Surgeon Raju Kachhap, Dr. Ujjwal Sinha, Dr. Aniket Sinha, and District Bar Association President Hemant Kumar Sinha.
Addressing the gathering, the PDJ-cum-Chairperson, DALSA stated that judicial work cannot be carried out effectively without healthy judicial officers and staff. Maintaining physical and mental health is essential, as a healthy body ensures a healthy mind. Poor mental health leads to stress throughout the day, making work more difficult. He encouraged people to undergo regular health check-ups and motivated them to donate blood.
Civil Surgeon Raju Kachhap said that blood is continuously required during medical treatment and this need can only be fulfilled through blood donation. People between the ages of 18 and 60 years are eligible to donate blood, and blood donation can be done once every three months. Orthopaedic specialist Dr. Ujjwal Sinha shared information on bone-related diseases and their treatment, while physician Dr. Aniket Sinha provided guidance on general health check-ups.
The blood donation and free health check-up camps were conducted under the coordination of DALSA Secretary Rajesh Kumar. Medanta representatives informed that under the Jharkhand State Treatment Insurance Scheme, all government employees are covered for treatment up to five lakh rupees with support from the Jharkhand Government and Tata AIG. It was also informed that Medanta is a leading hospital providing kidney transplant facilities.
The programme was attended by Additional District Judge-II Neerja Asri, CJM K.K. Mishra, Senior Civil Judge Rohit Kumar, Civil Judge (Junior Division) Amit Kumar Gupta, Deputy Superintendent of Sadar Hospital Dr. Shankar Prasad, District Bar Association Secretary Lal Deepak Kumar, Medanta field manager, court staff, advocates, police personnel, PLVs, and other attendees.
