Tributes paid on the 150th birth anniversary of Dharti Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda
Ulihatu (Khunti):
On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Dharti Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Honourable Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Honourable Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Government of India, Jual Oram, arrived at Birsa Munda’s ancestral village, Ulihatu, in Khunti district.
The dignitaries offered prayers at the sacred birthplace of Birsa Munda following traditional tribal rituals. They paid floral tribute and garlanded his statue, expressing deep reverence towards the iconic freedom fighter and tribal leader.
Meeting with Descendants of Birsa Munda
During the visit, the Governor, Chief Minister and Union Minister interacted warmly with the descendants of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. They honoured them by presenting traditional shawls and mementoes, symbolising gratitude and respect for the family lineage of the revered leader.
