Surprise Inspection at Collectorate Block-A, Clerk Found Absent; DC Issues Show-Cause Notice
Ranchi, November 18: Deputy Commissioner–cum–District Magistrate of Ranchi, Manjunath Bhajantri, conducted a surprise inspection at the General Section office located in Collectorate Block-A on Tuesday. During the inspection, Lower Division Clerk Pranay Prateek was found absent from duty without prior information or permission.
Terming it an act of indiscipline and negligence towards official duty, the Deputy Commissioner immediately issued a show-cause notice to the clerk.
The DC stated that ensuring discipline, punctuality, and accountability towards the public in government offices is his top priority. He also made it clear that similar surprise inspections will continue across all offices and branches, and strict action will be taken against any irregularities detected.
The district administration has urged citizens to register their grievances through its WhatsApp helpline “Abua Saathi – 9430328080” and has reiterated its commitment towards making Ranchi a child marriage-free district.
