Ranchi, 15 November : Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahato on Saturday paid floral tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary at the statue located on the Jharkhand Assembly premises.

The Speaker extended his greetings to the people of the state on Jharkhand State Foundation Day and Birsa Munda Jayanti. He said that Jharkhand, along with the entire nation, stands grateful to Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

He described Birsa Munda as a great hero of the freedom movement, who ignited the spirit of independence and fought against exploitation during the period of British rule.
