Bihar Assembly Elections 2025: First Phase Concludes Peacefully, Political Battle Heats Up for 122 Seats in Second Phase

 

Bihar/Patna (M Bharat 24 News Live): The first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 concluded peacefully on Thursday, with voting held across 121 constituencies in 18 districts. After witnessing a strong voter turnout, all political parties have now shifted their focus to the remaining 122 constituencies that will go to polls in the second phase. Campaigning has intensified across the state as leaders step up efforts to secure voter support.

Top Leaders to Address Multiple Rallies Today
On Friday, several major rallies and public meetings are scheduled across Bihar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold election rallies in Aurangabad and Bhabhua in support of NDA candidates. Union Minister Chirag Paswan is set to address a gathering in Purnahia, Shivhar district, while Union Minister Lalan Singh will lead a door-to-door campaign. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will address a major rally at the Shivhar Collectorate Ground, as confirmed by JD(U) candidate Sweta Gupta.

NDA vs. Mahagathbandhan: The Main Contest
The election is primarily a face-off between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the BJP and the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) led by the RJD. However, the Jan Suraj Party has also emerged as a significant third force, aiming to make an impact in key constituencies.

Second Phase Voting on November 11
The second phase of polling will take place on November 11, covering 122 assembly constituencies across major districts such as West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Banka, Kaimur, Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, and Jamui.

Key constituencies going to polls in the second phase include:
Valmikinagar, Ramnagar (SC), Narkatiaganj, Bagaha, Lauria, Chanpatia, Bettiah, Raxaul, Motihari, Shivhar, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Banka, Sasaram, Dehri, Jehanabad, Aurangabad, Gaya Town, Nawada, Jamui, Jhajha, and Chakai — among others.

With just days left for the second phase, political parties are going all out with roadshows, rallies, and outreach programs to woo voters. This phase is expected to play a decisive role in shaping Bihar’s political direction.
