Training programme organised for JSPCB officers: CMPDI

 

Ranchi: CMPDI organised a one-day training programme for Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board (JSPCB) officers at CMPDI (HQ), Ranchi focusing on technical and operational aspects of environmental data collection and analysis. Director (Technical/CRD) of the Institute, Shankar Nagachari inaugurated the training programme and said that capacity building initiatives are essential to ensure effective environmental data collection, analysis and pollution control, which is a very important factor for sustainable environmental management. A total of 35 officers of JSPCB participated in this training programme.

   The training programme provided theoretical and practical sessions to the participants to develop an understanding of robust environmental laboratory operations and pollution control techniques. The JSPCB officers also visited CMPDI's NABL accredited environmental laboratory and state-of-the-art geo-museum to gain insight into coal mining and related activities.
