Ranchi: The court has refused to grant bail to Awadhesh Jaiswal alias Chuha alias Sardar, an associate of PLFI supremo Dinesh Gop, who is in jail on charges of extorting money from businessmen. The bail petition filed by him was heard in the court of Additional Judicial Commissioner of Civil Court. After hearing, the court, after hearing the arguments of both the sides, rejected the petition in view of his allegations. The accused had filed a petition in a case number registered in 2020 at Dhurwa police station. He is in judicial custody in this case since February 27.
He was extorting money from businessmen of Ranchi and other districts of Jharkhand from Nalanda and Jehanabad of Bihar. To create fear in businessmen, he used to make video calls to them. Recently, Jharkhand ATS and Ranchi police team took joint action and arrested terrorist Awadhesh Jaiswal alias Chuha, a resident of Nalanda in Bihar, who had a bounty of Rs 2 lakh on his head, from Bihar.
