Chakradharpur: Tribute was paid to police jawan Lakhindra Munda, resident of Toybo Jharjhara, who was martyred in the Naxalite attack. On Martyrdom Day, a tribute program was organized on Saturday in his native village Toybo Jharjhara, in which MP Joba Majhi participated. The MP paid tribute by garlanding the picture and statue of jawan Lakhindra Munda. On this occasion, the villagers including the family of the martyred jawan attended in large numbers and paid tribute and remembered his martyrdom. During the tribute, the family members of the martyred jawan, including his mother, became emotional. On this occasion, everyone remembered the bravery of Lakhindra Munda and paid tribute.
It is known that Chaibasa District Force jawan Lakhindra Munda and another were killed by Naxalites on 31 May 2020. Among those who paid homage were Hoyohatu head Raghunath Gunduwa, MLA representative Piru Hembram, Tarakant Sijui, JMM leader Ramlal Munda, former head Vijay Singh Samad, Kamal Lal Ram, Pradeep Mahato and a large number of villagers from Jharjhara area.
