Jharkhand High Court distributed tabs to 496 judicial officers of the state

 

Ranchi: Jharkhand High Court distributed Samsung Galaxy S9 tabs to 496 judicial officers working in various courts of the state. This was done by taking an important step towards strengthening the digital structure of the judiciary. It was started on the recommendation of the Computer and Digitization Committee and the approval of the Chief Justice. The distribution ceremony was organized in the High Court premises on the eve of the annual summer vacation. On this occasion, two members Justice Gautam Kumar Chaudhary and Justice AK Rai were also present along with the Chairman of the Computer and Digitization Committee Justice Anand Sen. These people handed over the tablets to some judicial officers posted in Ranchi. Earlier in the ceremony, Justice Anand Sen gave detailed information about Samsung Galaxy Tab S9.

        It was told that this tablet is equipped with advanced features, such as speech-to-text (writing facility by speaking), AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology and other modern productivity applications, which will help judicial officers to discharge their duties strategically. This tablet will prove to be a useful tool especially in districts where there is a shortage of stenographers. It will also help in maintaining the continuity of judicial processes despite limited human resources. This tablet has features like high-resolution Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, S Pen support (extremely important for making notes), powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor (which allows easy multitasking), advanced security features and long battery life. Judicial officers have welcomed this initiative and expressed confidence that this will provide them significant assistance in day-to-day judicial work.
