Ranchi: A workshop of the state team of the Seva Sankalp campaign was held at the BJP Jharkhand state office under the leadership of state president Aditya Sahu. The detailed roadmap for the month-long campaign was presented to party workers, with a focus on taking welfare and service activities to people across the state.
Addressing the workshop as the chief guest, Dr Sanjay Jaiswal, national in-charge of the Seva Sankalp campaign and Chief Whip of the Lok Sabha, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday should be celebrated in a grand manner as the birthday of a family guardian. He said Modi’s public life as Chief Minister and Prime Minister has completed 25 years of dedicated service to the nation, and the campaign is being organised to mark this milestone.
Jaiswal said the Seva Sankalp campaign will be conducted across the country from September 17 to October 17, 2026, as a month-long festival of public service. He directed the state team to ensure that the campaign’s activities and organisational preparations are implemented effectively so that the benefits of various service initiatives reach people at the grassroots level.
He said the main objective of the campaign is to highlight the service initiatives and welfare achievements of the Central Government and connect citizens with the collective national resolve of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’. Blood donation camps, tree plantation drives, health check-ups, cleanliness campaigns and environmental protection activities will be organised across the country with the participation of the general public.
Addressing the meeting, BJP Jharkhand president Aditya Sahu said it was a matter of pride and good fortune for party workers to work under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said BJP workers have received an opportunity to serve the people of Jharkhand by taking Central Government schemes to villages and beneficiaries.
Sahu appealed to workers to ensure that Modi’s birthday does not remain merely a celebration but becomes a wider service campaign reaching every village. He called for maximum participation of the general public in all the activities.
He said the Prime Minister has worked with a commitment to serving people from every section of society and has focused on villages, the poor, the exploited and the deprived. According to Sahu, welfare schemes have helped the government reach households across the country, while the principle of putting the nation first remains central to Modi’s leadership.
State organisation general secretary Karmveer Singh presented details of the 13 programmes planned during the month-long campaign through a presentation. He also announced the formation of 12 different teams and their coordinators for implementing the programmes.
Singh said that on September 17, the Prime Minister’s birthday, an ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ will be lit simultaneously at 7 PM across the state in village temples, institutions and offices. The campaign aims to reach around 25 crore families across the country and connect with beneficiaries of Central Government schemes.
The planned programmes include drawing competitions for schoolchildren, ‘Angan Milan Seva’ at Anganwadi centres, collection of 25 inspirational stories under the ‘Kahani Badlav’ initiative, and the ‘Seva Jyoti’ campaign. A yatra will be organised on October 7, culminating at district-level gatherings.
Under the ‘Seva Setu’ initiative, efforts will be made to ensure that beneficiaries are able to access Central Government schemes. Other programmes include ‘Seva Ke Rang’, encouraging women to create rangolis; ‘Seva Innovation’, aimed at encouraging innovative ideas by young people; and the ‘Jansevak Mahakumbh’, bringing together public representatives and grassroots workers from panchayat to Parliament.
The meeting was conducted by state general secretary Manoj Singh. State vice-president Balmukund Sahay, state general secretary Ganesh Mishra, state ministers Saroj Singh and Sunita Singh, Amar Deep Yadav, Nand Ji Prasad, Rahul Awasthi, Aarti Singh, Vikas Pritam, Seema Sharma, Amit Kumar, Shashank Raj, Arjun Singh, Lovely Gupta, Ramesh Singh, Baban Gupta, Varun Sahu, Dheeraj Mahto and other party leaders were present.
