Horrific murder case solved in Lohardaga: Body found in a sack at a closed stone quarry; police crack the mystery in just 7 hours — two accused arrested
The Lohardaga police have swiftly solved a sensational murder case. Panic gripped the area after the body of a man, stuffed inside a sack, was discovered in the water of a closed stone quarry at Oyana Tongri. Upon receiving the information, Station House Officer (SHO) and Police Inspector Ratnesh Mohan Thakur arrived at the scene with a police team and initiated an investigation.
The recovered body was identified as that of Hussain Ansari (son of Mikayal Mir), a resident of New Azad Basti. Based on statements from the family, a case (Case No. 94/26) was registered at the Lohardaga police station against unknown persons for murder and the destruction of evidence.
Given the gravity of the incident, a special investigation team was constituted under the instructions of senior officials. Acting on technical and confidential information, the team successfully solved the murder case within just seven hours.
The police have arrested Arman Khan (22), a resident of Noor Nagar, and Md. Sahwaj Ahmed alias Raj (25), a resident of Durgabari Lane, Powerganj, Lohardaga.
According to the police, the accused confessed to their involvement in the crime during interrogation. Items related to the incident were recovered based on information provided by the accused. The police seized the items used in the murder—including a hacksaw frame and blade—as well as the scooter (Registration No. JH-08K-1173) used to transport the body.
The Lohardaga police's special team included SHO Ratnesh Mohan Thakur along with several other police officers and personnel. The police are now conducting further investigations into the matter and examining other aspects related to the incident.
