Ranchi: A special awareness program was organized on Tuesday for students at Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Kamre, located within the jurisdiction of the Ratu Police Station in Ranchi district. The event was attended by Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Gaurav Goswami, Traffic SP Rakesh Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters-2) Ajay Aryan, Ratu Station House Officer (SHO) Adikant Mahto, and Sub-Inspector Priyanka Kumari.

During the program, students were provided with detailed information on various social and legal topics, including the adverse effects of substance abuse, the NDPS Act, road safety and traffic regulations, protection against cybercrime, and the safe and responsible use of social media. Officials urged students to stay away from drugs, adhere to traffic rules on the road, and remain vigilant against cyber fraud and online crimes.

Highlighting the importance of road safety, the Traffic SP educated students on the use of helmets and seat belts, compliance with traffic rules, and safe vehicle operation. Meanwhile, the session on cybersecurity raised awareness about online fraud, malicious links, the dangers of sharing OTPs, and safe social media practices.

Students participated enthusiastically in the program and satisfied their curiosity by asking the officials questions on various topics. Police officials called upon the students to spread awareness in society, respect the law, and contribute to nation-building by becoming responsible citizens.
