Arpita Mahila Mandal Promotes Healthy Living Through Yoga and Tree Plantation
Ranchi, June 21, 2026: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Arpita Mahila Mandal organized a special event at Khelgaon centered on the theme "Yoga for a Healthy and Long Life." Members of the Mahila Mandal and students from Khelgaon participated enthusiastically, conveying the message of the importance of yoga to the community.
Under the leadership of Arpita Mahila Mandal President Preeti Singh, participants practiced various yoga postures (asanas), *pranayama* (breathing exercises), and meditation during the yoga session. Students from Khelgaon also showcased their talent through impressive yoga demonstrations, which were highly appreciated by all.
Alongside the yoga program, a tree plantation drive was conducted within the Khelgaon complex. Participants planted saplings and pledged to protect them, thereby spreading a message of environmental conservation. Participants who performed well in the competitions held during the event were also felicitated.
Speaking on the occasion, Preeti Singh stated that yoga forms the foundation of physical, mental, and spiritual health. She noted that regular yoga practice enables individuals to lead a healthy, positive, and disciplined life.
The event concluded with collective meditation and the chanting of "Om." Its objective was to raise awareness among children and youth about a healthy lifestyle and to encourage their talents. A large number of members and students attended the event, including Arpita Mahila Mandal office-bearers Rita Mishra, Rupa Rani, Rita Tiwari, and Neeru Hanjura.
