Two Accused Arrested with Stolen Mobile Phone; Police Recover Device
Ranchi: Acting swiftly in response to an incident of mobile phone snatching within the Lalpur police station limits, the police have arrested two accused individuals. The complainant, Rokesh Kumar Sinha, had filed a complaint on May 23, 2026, stating that near the Birsa Nagar pond, two unidentified youths snatched his mobile phone and fled the scene. In connection with this incident, a case was registered under Lalpur Police Station Case No. 102/26.
Acting under the directives of senior police officials, a raiding team was constituted which subsequently arrested the accused individuals, Anshu Kachhap (19 years old) and Akash Verma (20 years old). The police have also recovered the snatched mobile phone—a Nord CE 3 Lite 5G—from the possession of the accused.
According to the police, both accused individuals are currently being interrogated, and further action regarding the case is underway.
