BJP Delegation Visits Scene of Assault on Hindu Family by Members of a Specific Community
Met with the victimized family to gather detailed information; inquiry report to be submitted shortly
BJP expresses displeasure over the failure to arrest the culprits even after three days
Ranchi: A seven-member delegation constituted by BJP State President Aditya Sahu visited Kadamtoli village, located within the jurisdiction of the Chanho police station in Ranchi, on Tuesday to gather detailed information regarding an incident in which a Hindu family was assaulted. Led by State Vice President Neelkanth Singh Munda, the team met with the victimized family and obtained details regarding all aspects of the incident.
BJP leaders alleged that individuals belonging to a specific community forcibly entered the Hindu family's home and assaulted them, resulting in serious injuries to women and children. After inspecting the crime scene, the delegation stated that a detailed inquiry report on the matter would be prepared and submitted to State President Aditya Sahu shortly.
Speaking on the occasion, Neelkanth Singh Munda remarked that the failure to arrest the culprits, even three days after the incident, is deeply distressing and shameful. He asserted that the failure of the police administration to register a case under the appropriate sections—despite the gravity of the matter, which involves an attempted murder—raises serious questions regarding their impartiality.
He alleged that the police administration, acting under pressure from the government, is attempting to shield the accused individuals associated with that specific community. Mr. Munda stated that such incidents are on the rise in the state due to the politics of appeasement, and urged the government to take action in an impartial manner.
He further pointed out that the victimized family is the only Hindu family residing in that area, which is why they are being continuously targeted. The family also alleged that their home had been pelted with stones a few months ago, and that the accused individuals continue to issue them constant threats.
BJP leaders alleged that the police are stalling the investigation and delaying action by citing the injury report. The party demanded the immediate arrest of all the accused individuals and urged the administration to take concrete measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future.
