Attempt to Mislead Tribals by Burning Effigy of Union Home Minister Amit Shah: Bablu Munda

Ranchi, May 26: Issuing a press statement, Central Sarna Committee President Bablu Munda stated that while there may be differences of opinion regarding the meanings of the terms 'Adivasi' and 'Vanvasi,' 'delisting' has only one singular meaning—that converted tribals should be removed from the Scheduled Tribes list. He asserted that those who have abandoned the Sarna faith, its modes of worship, customs, and age-old traditions should be delisted.

He alleged that an attempt is being made to mislead the indigenous tribal community by burning the effigy of the Union Home Minister in Ranchi. Mr. Munda remarked that this has become the "nature" of certain Christian organizations, but the indigenous tribal community of Jharkhand is no longer going to fall prey to such confusion.

Mr. Munda emphasized that the community remains vigilant in safeguarding its traditional faith, culture, and identity, and that a clear decision is urgently required regarding the issue of retaining tribal status following religious conversion.
