🔴 Toll Plaza Firing Case: Gautam Tiwari's Anticipatory Bail Plea Rejected

Ranchi: Gautam Tiwari, an accused in the case involving firing and assault at a toll plaza, has failed to secure significant relief from the court. The court of the Additional Judicial Commissioner rejected his petition for anticipatory bail.

This case is linked to Angara Police Station Case No. 13/2026. According to the allegations, on February 3, 2026, during a dispute at the toll plaza, Gautam Tiwari stepped out of his vehicle and pointed a pistol at a toll employee. During this incident, he snatched the employee's mobile phone and also opened fire. Furthermore, allegations of physical assault have also surfaced.

During the course of the investigation, witness statements and CCTV footage reportedly corroborated the details of the incident. Additionally, a ballistic examination of the seized pistol confirmed that it was in working condition.

The defense counsel argued before the court that the accused has no prior criminal history and has been falsely implicated in the case. However, considering the gravity of the matter and the available evidence, the court declined to grant anticipatory bail.
