📰 Investment in Jharkhand; Emphasis Placed on Rapid Implementation of MoUs
Ranchi, April 24, 2026: Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a high-level review meeting with officials to expedite investment and industrial 0development within the state.
Directives were issued to ensure the swift implementation of the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed following the World Economic Forum held in Davos and the subsequent visit to the United Kingdom.
The Chief Minister called for prioritizing investment in the textile, IT, food processing, higher education, critical minerals, and tourism sectors. He emphasized that a concrete action plan must be formulated to rapidly translate investment proposals into on-ground realities.
Placing special emphasis on the textile sector, the Chief Minister noted that it holds the potential to generate large-scale employment within the state, particularly for women.
He stated that Jharkhand's strong presence at Davos has successfully attracted global investors, and there are significant prospects for increased investment in the state in the near future.
Additionally, directives were issued to boost investment in the tourism, IT, electronics, automobile, and EV sectors.
