Initiative to Streamline Currency Exchange: Special Training for Bank Staff
The Reserve Bank of India organized a training program for bank employees in the Lohardaga district, providing detailed information on the procedures for exchanging torn, mutilated, and soiled banknotes, as well as on security features and the identification of counterfeit currency. The objective of this initiative is to provide prompt and hassle-free services to the general public and to curb the circulation of fake notes.
Additionally, a 'Currency and Coin Exchange Fair' was organized at the Bank of India branch in Lohardaga, offering the public the facility to exchange banknotes and coins even without holding a bank account. Informational cards were also distributed to raise awareness. This initiative marks a significant step towards making banking services more accessible.
