Strict Security Arrangements for Festivals: Chief Minister Hemant Soren Issues Stern Directives; Administration to Remain on High Alert
At the Chief Minister's Residential Office in Ranchi, Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren convened a high-level meeting regarding upcoming festivals, including Eid, Sarhul, and Ram Navami. Deputy Commissioners and Senior Superintendents/Superintendents of Police from all districts participated in the meeting via video conferencing. The Chief Minister issued clear directives emphasizing that peace, communal harmony, and law and order must be maintained at all costs during the festivals, and that swift and strict action must be taken against anyone attempting to incite unrest of any kind.
He instructed officials to ensure strict security, the deployment of adequate police forces, and the active involvement of informants in sensitive areas and at religious sites. Directives were issued for the physical verification of procession routes, surveillance of crowded areas, monitoring via drones and CCTV cameras, and the documentation of all activities.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need to keep a strict watch on those spreading rumors on social media, to make special arrangements for the safety of women and children, and to establish 'Safe Zones' along procession routes. Furthermore, he issued instructions to ban provocative songs, ensure uninterrupted power supply, and keep public announcement systems and emergency services fully prepared. He directed all districts to remain on high alert around the clock to ensure the peaceful conclusion of the festivals.
