Six Prisoners Released at Jail Court; Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad Inspects Civil Court

Ranchi: Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad—who also serves as the Executive Chairman of JHALSA (Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority)—inspected the Civil Court in Ranchi on the occasion of the National Lok Adalat. During the inspection, he distributed compensation checks to victims under the Motor Vehicles Accident Act in MACT cases; he also held discussions regarding the court's functioning with the Judicial Commissioner, Anil Kumar Mishra-I, and issued necessary directives.

Meanwhile, on March 15, a 'Jail Court' was organized at the Birsa Munda Central Jail, where 16 cases were heard, resulting in the release of 6 inmates. Judicial officers personally tasted the food prepared for the prisoners to assess its quality. Additionally, a medical check-up camp and a legal awareness program were organized.
