Instructions Issued to Expedite Voter List Revision Process
Ranchi, March 25: Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar held a review meeting with the Deputy Election Officers of all districts and issued directives to complete the intensive revision of the voter list in a timely manner. He stated that stickers containing the details of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) should be affixed to voters' homes expeditiously to facilitate easy contact. Voters whose mapping could not be completed can contact their respective BLOs using the "Book a Call" feature on ECINET.
He emphasized the need to compile lists of voters categorized as Absent, Shifted, Deceased, or Duplicate, and directed that voters belonging to shifted households be included in the 'Shifted' category list. Instructions were also issued to prioritize the use of existing house numbers during the mapping process, and to utilize 'notional numbers' only when absolutely necessary. The concerned officials participated in the meeting via an online platform.
