Horticulture development in Jharkhand gets a new direction, MoU signed with IIHR
Ranchi: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Directorate of Horticulture, Jharkhand, and the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR), Bengaluru, in the Chief Minister's chamber at the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly on Thursday in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The Chief Minister stated that this initiative will promote the development, expansion, and research of the horticulture sector in the state and help increase farmers' income.
He stated that this agreement will enhance the productivity and quality of fruit, vegetable, ornamental, medicinal, and mushroom crops, and provide farmers with access to modern technology, training, and research services.
Agriculture Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, and Departmental Secretary Abu Bakr Siddiqui, along with several officials, were present on the occasion.
