MDA Campaign in Lohardaga: Deputy Commissioner Takes Dose of Filariasis and Deworming Medicine
Lohardaga, February 16. As part of the Mass Drug Administration (MDA) campaign being run by the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department, Government of Jharkhand, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tarachand took a dose of DEC and Albendazole. Deputy Development Commissioner Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat also took the medicine under the supervision of the medical team that arrived at the Deputy Commissioner's office. The campaign, running from February 10th to 25th, is distributing the medicine door-to-door. The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the public that all healthy people, except those under two years of age, pregnant women, and seriously ill individuals, must take the medicine, as this will protect them from filariasis and intestinal worms.
