Ranchi: Paras HEC Hospital in Ranchi has launched a Scalp Cooling Therapy machine to help cancer patients reduce hair loss during chemotherapy. This is the first such facility in Bihar and Jharkhand. Doctors said the technology works by cooling the scalp and narrowing blood vessels, which reduces the effect of chemotherapy drugs on hair follicles. The hospital stated that the initiative will provide both physical and psychological relief, especially for women patients.
