The Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Tarachand, chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of road construction works being carried out by various departments in Lohardaga district. During the meeting, he reviewed all ongoing road projects and directed the concerned agencies to ensure completion of the works within the stipulated time frame.
The Deputy Commissioner made it clear that unnecessary delays in road construction would not be tolerated and instructed that strict action be taken against contractors found responsible for delays. He reviewed the status of roads under the National Highways, Rural Works Department, and the Rural Works Special Division.
He also directed the Rural Works Department to identify roads requiring repairs and submit repair proposals so that they can be forwarded to the State Government for approval.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat, Additional Collector Jitendra Munda, along with Executive Engineers and Assistant Engineers from the concerned departments.
