Lohardaga Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tarachand chaired a review meeting of various schemes being implemented under the Welfare Department. During the meeting, officials were instructed to verify the pending and missed applications under the Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme (2025-26) at the institute level within two weeks and forward them to the district level for further action. Similar directions were issued to ensure timely verification of all applications under the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme (2025-26).
The DC also reviewed the financial and physical progress of schemes approved by the PAC under Article 275(II) for the financial year 2025-26 and directed officials to complete the projects within the stipulated timeframe. Several other schemes were discussed, including MSDP projects, cycle distribution, Chief Minister Health Assistance Scheme, cases under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act, status of residential schools and their repair/renovation works, PM Janman scheme, fencing of Sarna-Masna sites, construction of Dhumkudia House, and fencing of minority graveyards. District Welfare Officer Saraswati Kachhap, Civil Surgeon Dr. Raju Kachhap, block welfare officers and concerned engineers were present.
