Ranchi: A BJP organisational meeting was held at the party’s state office under the chairmanship of state president and MP Aditya Sahu. Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi, Organisation General Secretary Karmveer Singh, Union Minister Annapurna Devi and several senior leaders and office-bearers attended the meeting. The discussions mainly focused on preparations and strategy for the upcoming municipal body elections in Jharkhand.
Aditya Sahu said the BJP is determined to ensure victory for its workers in all 48 urban local body elections. He demanded that the Hemant government immediately announce the election schedule without further delay.
Sahu stated that the BJP supports party-based municipal elections to strengthen democratic participation at the grassroots level. He also urged that elections be conducted through EVMs to ensure transparency and to keep the process free from malpractice and corruption. Alleging possible interference, he claimed the state government could use the administration as a “toolkit” to influence polling and counting.
