Grand ‘Jharkhand Jatra’ to Be Held on 16 November

As part of the 25th (Silver Jubilee) Jharkhand State Foundation Day celebrations, the state government is organizing a range of cultural, social, and public welfare programmes across the state. The main event will take place on 15 and 16 November 2025 at Morabadi Ground, Ranchi, with participation from dignitaries, public representatives, artists, and citizens.


Grand ‘Jharkhand Jatra’ Scheduled for 16 November

On November 16, a grand Jharkhand Jatra will commence from JAP Ground, Ranchi, and proceed as a magnificent cultural procession to the Birsa Munda Smriti Udyan (Jail Chowk).

The Jatra will showcase:

  • Jharkhand’s rich cultural heritage
  • Tribal traditions
  • Folk dances and music
  • The state’s developmental achievements through themed tableaux

Route Inspection Ensures Smooth & Safe Conduct

To ensure the smooth and safe organization of the Jatra, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri and Senior Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ranjan jointly inspected the Main Road route on Thursday.

During the inspection, officials visited Albert Ekka Chowk and Birsa Munda Smriti Udyan (Jail Chowk) to thoroughly assess all arrangements.


Key Instructions Issued by the Deputy Commissioner

The Deputy Commissioner instructed concerned officers to:

  1. Strengthen traffic management and diversion plans
  2. Ensure foolproof security arrangements
  3. Provide cleanliness, drinking water, medical and emergency services
  4. Install barricading, lighting, and public convenience centers along the procession route

He emphasized that all arrangements must be completed in a timely and systematic manner.


Appeal to Citizens

The Ranchi District Administration has appealed to all citizens to participate actively in the Jharkhand Jatra and Foundation Day celebrations.
People are requested to maintain a peaceful, disciplined, and safe environment, follow traffic rules, and adhere to all administrative guidelines.
