District-Level Plant Protection Seminar Organized by the Plant Protection Office
During the seminar, the Deputy Director (Plant Protection) highlighted the importance of plant protection in crop production and instructed officials to remain sensitive to farmers’ needs while ensuring the benefits of various schemes reach them. The District Agriculture Officer emphasized making farmers aware of pest and disease management practices and directed extension workers to promote the use of quality pesticides.
The Assistant Director (Plant Protection) and experts from the Central Integrated Pest Management Centre provided technical insights into various Integrated Pest and Disease Management (IPDM) methods. The Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer urged all participants to disseminate the acquired knowledge among farmers through extensive awareness campaigns.
Junior Plant Protection Officer, Ranchi, explained the components of the Crop Safety Programme and discussed the implementation framework of the scheme. Participants engaged in detailed interactions with experts on plant protection issues, and solutions were provided to their queries.
