District-Level Monitoring Committee Meeting Held, Key Issues Reviewed

Focus on Victim Compensation, Legal Awareness Camp and Upcoming Lok Adalats

A meeting of the district-level monitoring committee was held on 18 November in the PDJ office chamber located in the Civil Court premises. The meeting was chaired by Principal District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairperson, DLSA Lohardaga, Rajkamal Mishra. Senior officials from various departments were present during the meeting.

Officials Present

ADJ-I and Special Court POCSO & Electricity Act Judge Swayambhu, Deputy Commissioner-cum-Vice Chairperson of DLSA Dr. Kumar Tarachand, Superintendent of Police and Committee Member Sadik Anwar Rizvi, CJM K.K. Mishra, DLSA Secretary Rajesh Kumar, and the Executive Engineer of the Building Construction Department attended the meeting.

Discussion on 7 Victim Compensation Cases

A total of seven victim compensation cases were reviewed, and necessary steps for their proper resolution were discussed.

Preparation for Mega Legal Empowerment Camp

The date for the upcoming mega legal empowerment camp in the district was discussed, along with strategies to ensure its successful implementation.

Upcoming Lok Adalats

The committee discussed preparations for:

  • The final National Lok Adalat of the year on 13 December 2025
  • The special Lok Adalat on electricity-related cases on 29 November 2025

Officials were directed to ensure maximum disposal of conciliatory cases.

Other Key Discussions

The progress of construction work of the Nyay Sadan (DLSA Building) was reviewed. Discussions were also held on installing CCTV cameras in all police stations, filing FAR/DAR under the Motor Vehicles Act as per Supreme Court guidelines, and forming the district-level dedicated committee as per directives.
