Appeal to Avoid Using Obscene Words During the Mage Festival

Jharkhand/West Singhbhum: On Sunday, street corner meetings were organized by the Ho Samaj Yuva Mahasabha, the National Tribal Revival Association, and the Singi and Singi Society in Itihasa, Simidiri, Kenke, and Hathiya Panchayats of Chakradharpur Block in West Singhbhum district.

Speakers at the meeting stated that Mage, the major festival of the Ho Samaj, is celebrated under the leadership of the village's Diuri. During this festival, all villagers and family members visit the Deshauli and pray for the village's well-being and prosperity. Youths were especially urged to refrain from using obscene or vulgar words during the festival.

As part of the social awareness program, information about government schemes was provided, and the Gram Sabha encouraged citizens' responsibility, participation, and cooperation in social programs. National General Secretary Gabbar Singh Hembram stated that it is essential to integrate misguided members of society into the mainstream. He told the members of each household the benefits of being socially, educationally, economically and constitutionally aware.

On this occasion, young social workers Jeevan Bankira, Tataram Samadd, Dare alias Gorakhnath Bodra, Munna Kerai, Rakesh Kumar Hembram, Sanjay Bodra, Krishna Bankira, Shiv Kumar Bankira, Harish Bodra, Shankar Mahali, Sunita Bankira, Anita Bankira, Belmati Bankira, Naiki Samadd, Harfal Bhuiya, Sanatan Sundi, Munna Bodra, Abhimanyu Bodra and many others were present.
