Amit Shah arrives in Kolkata, will inaugurate a patriotic-themed Durga Puja pandal, and will also hold important meetings in Bihar

West Bengal/Kolkata: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah arrived in Kolkata on Thursday night. He will attend several events today. Shah will inaugurate the Durga Puja pandal of the Santosh Mitra Square Sarvajanin Durga Puja Committee in North Kolkata. Organized by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) councilor Sajal Ghosh, the pandal is decorated with a patriotic theme called "Operation Sindoor," which commemorates the valor and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces.

The pandal presents glimpses of the Pahalgam (Jammu and Kashmir) terrorist attack and the subsequent successful military operation, "Operation Sindoor." Lifelike replicas of the BrahMos missile and S-400 system are displayed to instill a sense of national pride and respect for the armed forces. Committee General Secretary Sajal Ghosh said, "The purpose of this pandal is to awaken the spirit of patriotism in the hearts of the people. We have tried to bring alive the bravery of the army."

During his stay in Kolkata, Shah will also visit the Kalighat Temple in South Kolkata. He will then proceed to Bihar, where he will be on a two-day visit on September 26th and 27th. During this visit, he will participate in several meetings regarding the party's preparations for the upcoming assembly elections.

On the first day, Shah will hold a closed-door meeting with BJP workers in Bettiah, West Champaran. Earlier on September 18th, he held review meetings in the Dehri-on-Sone and Begusarai areas. This will be followed by a high-level strategy meeting at the BJP state office in Patna, attended by Bihar BJP officials, state secretaries, and officials handling election responsibilities from other states. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who was recently appointed as the Bihar election in-charge, will also be present.

On the second day, i.e. September 27, Shah will hold a regional meeting in Sarairanjan and address a large gathering of BJP workers in Forbesganj in Araria district.
