Jharkhand/East Singhbhum: The district is set to become a new hub for Indian hockey as the Naval Tata Hockey Academy (NTHA) is set to host the 5th Hockey India Senior Men's Inter-Department National Championship 2025. This prestigious competition will be held from September 30 to October 10, 2025.
According to information provided by Tata Steel on Monday, the prestigious national-level competition will bring together the top Indian hockey teams representing the country's top departments and institutions.
A total of 18 selected teams have been divided into four pools: Pool A includes Petroleum Sports Promotion Board, Punjab National Bank, All India Police Sports Control Board, Tamil Nadu Police, Union Bank of India; Pool B includes Railway Sports Promotion Board, Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Punjab and Sind Bank; Pool C includes Services Sports Control Board, Steel Plants Sports Board, Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF); Pool D includes Food Corporation of India, Sports Authority of India, ITBP Central Hockey Team.

The competition will begin with exciting opening matches on September 30th. Hockey fans will enjoy high-energy matches in the following days, culminating in the grand final at the NTHA Ground in Jamshedpur on October 10th.
